Transforming Lives: Site King Supports New Life Wood
At Site King, we strive to give back to our community and support causes that make a real difference in people’s lives. When we heard about local registered charity, New Life Wood, and all of the hard work that they have been doing to relieve unemployment and offer rehabilitation to those in our area, it was clear that our values were aligned.
Who Are New Life Wood?
New Life Wood provide opportunities for individuals facing various challenges, including those recently released from prisons and mental health organizations. Through a carefully structured program, participants engage in meaningful work, on a wood recycling project, for three months. This allows them to work towards gaining valuable skills and certifications in areas such as health and safety, first aid, and safe tool handling. These certifications will enhance their employability and empower them to contribute positively to their communities.
A Helping Hand: Providing Workwear for Staff and Volunteers
Importance of having the right attire to perform tasks safely and comfortably is something that, as a safety workwear company, we are acutely aware of. We’re proud to contribute to this aspect of their program, so as part of our commitment to New Life Wood’s mission, Site King has provided them with free workwear to help outfit their staff and volunteers.
Beyond Employment: Enriching Lives
Where New Life Wood really shine is with their approach to supporting individuals. Vocational training, life and employment skills courses, financial management coaching through Christians Against Poverty (CAP), and optional spiritual support are all on offer. By addressing various aspects of participants’ lives, New Life Wood strives to transform, restore, and enrich not just individual lives but entire communities.
